In 2007 casual gamers everywhere became addicted to the cute farm game that was Farm Frenzy, and now Alawar have released the sequel on their website – Farm Frenzy 2.
Each level has different objectives, and you need to collect produce from your animals to earn money. As with the previous version, there are bears which come and take your farm animals…and you need to be quick to get them into a cage before any damage is done.
Just like in real life, each animal produces a certain type of food – hens lay eggs, pigs make meat, cows give milk and ostriches give feathers. You also have your cats that collect items and dogs that scare away the bears. There are a variety of buildings to upgrade so you can turn your basic goods into more luxury items.
Farm Frenzy 2 has all the great features from the first version, but it has plenty of new items and upgrades to make it feel like a different game rather than a rushed copy.
The graphics and game play have improved; things seem to run a lot smoother which will make fans of the original very happy.
The graphics are adorable; each animal is unique and has sound effects to match. Farm Frenzy 2 has fun, boppy music and the game will take you hours to complete. As you earn money, you can purchase upgrades to make farm life much easier.
The game is quite challenging, especially if you try to complete it in expert mode, and there are, of course, fun trophies to score to make it last longer.
Once you have finished the game in career mode, you can go and play the endless game, which becomes quite fast paced.
